Let
others know how the proposed budget cuts would impact you
and your family. The ability to share real life stories with
policymakers about their constituents, describing how budget
decisions will directly play out for California families and
children, is one of the best tools advocates have.
Here's
how you can share your story:

Make a video in which you describe the impact the proposed
budget cuts would have on your and your family, and upload
the video to www.youtube.com. Let us know about the video
by sending us an email
and we will post a link to it on our "Stories on Budget
Impact" page. Click on the following links for information
on Youtube:

Write an open letter to policymakers describing how the proposed
budget cuts would impact you and your family, and email
it to us for posting on this website.
Please
note: before we can post links to your videos or letters,
we need to have a signed release from you, authorizing us
to use your story, photos, videos, etc. Please copy and paste
the following release form into an email to us at eweichel@sandiego.edu.
Edit it as appropriate. Your submission of it to us constitutes
your release to use your story, video, or letter.
